Howdy peeps! Happy Monday to you! I'm poppin' in to share a peek of the pillows I sewed over the weekend. I got down to business and sewed the three euro pillow covers in the back and the pleated bolster cover in the front.
Since I'm FAAARRR from a seamstress, I had to figure out how to make the pleats even... I'm pretty sure I technically did it wrong, but I'm happy with the finished product.
Oh, here's a peak at the ticking on the back.
She's quite a monster measuring in at 34 inches for Cal-King bed.
Till next time...

Just a peak for today and a tutorial after a full reveal.
Revised to-do list:
- Add ribbon trim to new bedskirt
Sew three euro pillow coversSew bolster cover- Make bedside table for my side
- Paint base of bedside lamps
Get new lamp shades- Make art work for over the bed
- Find a way to cover switch box across from bed
- Hang curtains
- Pretty up bedside tables
Till next time...

I hear tell pleats are a tricky thing to sew. I wouldn't know however because I can barely hem pants!

They are fabulous! You did great :) -Tammy
ReplyDeleteAwessome job, Iesha! Hard to believe your not a seamstress! I didn't get any sewing over the weekend. My 4 grandsons kept me too busy! :D But it was worth it. I'm still learning my new machine as its the first time I ever had a computerized machine; but I'm learning I'm going to be able to do some great things! I'm going to start with designer aprons!
ReplyDeleteVery informative review. I really appreciate how ways were laid. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful, and I too am finding it hard to believe you aren't a seamstress! :) Trust a real novice sewer... if I tried making those things I wouldn't be able to post the pictures afterwards (unless the post was a cautionary tale). Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking at that same Frenchy light blue fabric at Hobby Lobby. I want to make curtains for my dining room with it. It was love at first sight.
